During the afternoon 'Blue Stealth' by Phill Hopkins (stencil/spray print,
on pieces of The Sun newspaper,edition of 50, numbered, signed and dated)
will be given away free to visitors.
Any remaining prints will be available via the artist's website.
Since the beginning of September, Phill Hopkins has been resident on the
first floor at &Model.He has worked on a number of new pieces influenced
by the city and using a copy of The Sun newspaper that he found whilst
travelling to the gallery. He has also continued work on a large painting,
'Golden Train', which references Syrian refugees travelling on a train
through Eastern Europe. This work,which measures over 4m in length, began
a year ago in Hopkins own studio and has been the main focus during this
concentrated time at the gallery.
